Our Midwives

Professional Background

Michelle graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University in 2021. Previous to her studies in midwifery, she completed an Honours BA in Child and Youth Studies (Brock University, 2006) and a Bachelor of Education (Brock University, 2007). She worked for several years in the Hamilton community, educating young children and supporting growing families.

Commitment to Midwifery Practice

In addition to her work as a Registered Midwife, Michelle often participates on various committees committed to improving the care provided to the birthing community. Michelle is impassioned about the empowerment of the birthing body and the healthy development of the parent-child bond. Michelle is also active in various learning communities, and is passionate about education, advocacy and supporting learning.

Off Call Time

When Michelle isn’t working, you will find her walking with her dog, swimming with her partner + 3 kids, gardening, or sewing.
